Knowing is half the battle, right? We all know that the first step to fixing a problem is accepting the fact that there is a problem. Oftentimes, that is the hardest step to take. Sometimes the problem is that we are overweight, in which case we might hire a trainer/nutritionist or invest in a weight loss supplement/program. Sometimes the problem is that we have a drug or alcohol addiction, in which case we might hire a therapist or get into a rehab program. Well, what if the problem is that we are disorganized? The good news is that, just like with any other problem in our lives, there is a specialist that can help with that problem… a Professional Organizer!

Being disorganized can mean something completely different from person to person. For some, it can be the case of an accumulation of clutter that results from grief, illness, the birth of a child or any other life changes and events. For others, it can be more of a life-long battle with chronic disorganization that affects almost every aspect of their lives.

Organizing the Shirt Drawer!

So, my husband's t-shirt drawer was overflowing with shirts! I got tired of seeing the ones that didn't fit sitting on top of my dresser and our closet is just way to small to add his shirts to it, so when I found this post with a simple how-to fold t-shirts and organize them in the dresser drawer, I had to try it! This took me less than ten minutes and I'm extremely satisfied with the results, so I had to share! Here are my before and afters:
His work shirts are all lined up on the left and the rest to the right (not by color since I know it will be a waste of time as he will just place them anywhere in the future)! Oh, wait a minute, I'm the one who folds his laundry and puts it away! Oh well, it really doesn't matter... all I care about is the drawer closes and all his shirts will be inside of it vs. on top of the dresser! Besides, with folding and setting them on top of each other in the drawer, you have to sift through them to pick a shirt. This way, you can see each and every one of them with one glance!

Depending on the size of your drawers, you may have to fold a little differently as I had to.
